Blessed are the Peacemakers

*“Blessed Are the Peacemakers” – Devotional for November 24, 2025*

*Scripture*

Matthew 5:9 (NIV) – “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

*Reflection*

In a world filled with conflict, offense, and division, God calls His children to be peacemakers—not peacekeepers, but peacemakers. Peacekeeping avoids conflict, but peacemaking confronts issues with wisdom, love, and grace to bring true healing and unity. Being a peacemaker doesn’t mean weakness—it requires courage, humility, and a heart aligned with God's. When we choose peace over pride, healing over hostility, and reconciliation over resentment, we reflect the nature of our Heavenly Father.

*Key Takeaways*

- *Peacemakers reflect God’s heart*: True peace comes from those led by the Spirit, not by emotions.

- *Peace is a pursuit*: It must be actively made, not passively hoped for.

- *Being a child of God means building bridges, not burning them.*

*Prayer*

Lord, make me a peacemaker in a world of chaos. Teach me to love, listen, and respond with wisdom. Let my life be a reflection of Your grace and unity. Help me build bridges where walls once stood. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*Application*

- Think of one relationship or situation where peace is needed. Ask God how you can make peace.

- Avoid gossip, grudges, and strife. Speak words that heal.

- Let your presence bring calm and wisdom, even in tense moments.
