How Can Humility Improve Your Relationships?

Practicing Humility

Scripture: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." - Philippians 2:3 (NIV)

As Christians, our lifestyle should be characterized by humility. We are called to imitate Christ, who humbled Himself and served others. Humility requires us to set aside pride and selfishness, and instead, value and uplift others. It is through humility that we reflect the heart of Christ and cultivate healthy relationships with those around us.

Jesus modeled this by leaving his majestic position in heaven, came to earth as man to die for his own.

Despised, but he never revolted, he accepted his fate and brought salvation to men.

Thus, the expectation of God concerning our lives is we embrace humility in our actions, words, and thoughts, putting the needs of others before our own.

May our lives be marked by a humble attitude that seeks to love, serve, and encourage others.
