How to be Deeply Rooted in Jesus Christ

Title: Seated in Christ

Scripture: Ephesians 2:6 (NIV)

"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus."

Devotional

As believers, we often focus on our earthly circumstances, struggling to find hope and peace in the midst of challenges. But the Bible reminds us that our true identity and position are not based on our earthly situation, but on our spiritual reality. We are seated in Christ in heavenly places!

When we grasp this truth:

1. _We gain a new perspective_: Being seated in Christ gives us a heavenly perspective, helping us to see things from God's point of view.

2. _We experience spiritual authority_: As we sit with Christ, we're reminded of our spiritual authority and the power we have through Him.

3. _We receive spiritual blessings_: Ephesians 1:3 says that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Being seated with Him reminds us of these blessings.

4. _We're empowered for spiritual warfare_: Our position in Christ gives us the strength and courage to face spiritual battles, knowing that we're not fighting alone.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for seating us with Christ in heavenly places. Help us to grasp this truth and live from our spiritual reality. May our perspective, authority, blessings, and empowerment be rooted in our position in Christ.

Reflection Questions

1. How does being seated in Christ impact your daily life?

2. What spiritual blessings have you received through your position in Christ?

3. How can you apply your spiritual authority in your life and circumstances?

Action Step

Take a few minutes to meditate on your position in Christ. Imagine yourself seated with Him in heavenly places. Ask God to give you a deeper understanding of your spiritual reality and to empower you to live from this truth.
