How To Embrace God's Sovereignty

_Title:_ Embracing God's Sovereignty

_Scripture:_ Romans 11:33-36 (NIV) - "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?’ ‘Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?’ For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen."

_Devotional:_

Have you ever struggled with the idea of God's sovereignty? Maybe you've wondered why God allows certain things to happen, or why He doesn't intervene in certain situations. It's natural to have questions and doubts, but the Bible is clear: God is sovereign, and His ways are higher than ours.

In Romans 11:33-36, the apostle Paul writes about the depth of God's wisdom and knowledge. He notes that God's judgments are unsearchable, and His paths are beyond tracing out. This means that we can't always understand why God does what He does, but we can trust that He is working everything out for our good.

So how can we embrace God's sovereignty in our lives?

1. _Trust in God's goodness_: Remember that God is good, and that He always wants what's best for us. Even when we don't understand what's happening, we can trust that God is working everything out for our good.

2. _Submit to God's will_: Instead of trying to control everything, submit to God's will and trust that He knows what's best for us.

3. _Focus on God's character_: Instead of getting bogged down in our circumstances, focus on God's character and remember that He is faithful, loving, and just.

_Prayer:_

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You today acknowledging Your sovereignty over all things. Help me to trust in Your goodness, submit to Your will, and focus on Your character. Thank you for being a God who is worthy of my trust. Amen.

_Reflection Questions:_

1. What are some areas of your life where you struggle to trust God's sovereignty?

2. How can you submit to God's will in those areas?

3. What are some ways you can focus on God's character and trust in His goodness?

_Action Step:_

Take a few minutes to reflect on God's sovereignty and how it applies to your life. Ask God to help you trust in His goodness, submit to His will, and focus on His character. Write down some Bible verses that remind you of God's sovereignty, and post them in a place where you can see them often.
