John 11:38-44

38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Sermon: When Jesus went to the tomb were Lazarus his friend layed the first thing he wept, the condition and the state of Lazarus was something that necessitates weeping, the fact that a person who was once very active can lie down lifeless, Jesus bemoaned the unfortunate situation that human beings have been subjected to, he was there in the beginning, he knew this was not God's plan for mankind in the beginning, man was not meant to die and here was a lifeless man, his own friend stirring at him in the face, in a sense the glory of the human race had departed from them. The first thing that Jesus did was to instruct that the stone be rolled away Everybody thought this was a strange thing for Jesus to ask. After all, Martha knew "Lord, by this time he stinketh" she said, but he replied "...did i not tell you that if you would believe you will see the glory of the LORD" (John 11:40), People probably thought that Jesus was so taken with grief that He wanted one last look at His dear friend Lazarus but it was because he knew that the Glory of the Lord was to be revealed, if the Glory of the lord is to be revealed then the stone must be removed, the stone can mean a heart of stone which is also a heart of disbelief " A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:6-7, Lazarus the Dead man came forth at the command of Jesus and at the removal of the stone, as many who see this and belief every dead thing in your life will rise again

As you Pray these Prayer points today the lord will cause a resurrection of buried virtues, gifts, talents, etc. to rise again in the name of Jesus
