Prov 15:28

Charge: An evil tongue is a tongue that is preserved for wickedness, it is a tongue used by the Devil to achieve his evil on the earth, an evil tongue is the enemy controlling a person’s tongue for wicked, evil and sinister purposes. An evil tongue can be a lying tongue or a tongue used for blackmail Psalm 120:2 "Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue." Some people may experience blackmail in their place of work or someone telling a lie against them, that is an evil tongue. For some others it can be tongues that gossip and backbite you, for some it can be a tongue used by the Devil to curse you, in Psalm 10:7 it says what the evil tongue does as regards cursing "His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression;

Under his tongue is mischief and wickedness." What sponsors the evil tongue from this scripture is wickedness. Evil tongues can be used to slander a person, defame a Character, talk down or less of a person, discourage a person, or give a person wrong advices."
