Speaking Life

*"Speaking Life" Devotional*

*Scripture*

Proverbs 18:21 - "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit."

*Reflection*

Our words have the power to build up or tear down, to give life or to bring harm. As believers, we have the opportunity to speak life into the lives of those around us, using our words to encourage, uplift, and inspire. When we choose to speak life, we reflect the love and kindness of God, bringing hope and joy to those who need it most. This requires intentionality and mindfulness, as our words can have a lasting impact on others. By speaking life, we can create a positive and supportive environment, helping others to feel seen, heard, and valued.

- *Words have power*: Our words can either build up or tear down, so it's essential to choose them carefully.

- *Speak life*: We can use our words to encourage, uplift, and inspire others, bringing hope and joy to those around us.

- *Reflect God's love*: When we speak life, we reflect the love and kindness of God, demonstrating His character to the world.

*Prayer*

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to use my words to speak life into the lives of those around me. Give me the wisdom and kindness to choose words that uplift and encourage, and may my words reflect Your love and character. In Jesus' name, Amen.

*Application*

- Be mindful of the words you use in your daily conversations, choosing to speak life and encouragement.

- Look for opportunities to uplift and inspire others, using your words to bring hope and joy.

- Reflect on how your words can reflect God's love and character, seeking to honor Him in all you say and do.
