*The Heart of Gratitude*
*Scripture:*
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." - Psalm 100:4 (NIV)
*Reflection:*
Gratitude isn’t a reaction to what you have—it’s a revelation of who God is. You don’t give thanks _for_ all circumstances, you give thanks _in_ all circumstances. Why? Because God is still good when life isn’t. Gratitude shifts your focus from what’s missing to Who’s present. Complaining magnifies problems. Thanksgiving magnifies God. The 10 lepers were all healed, but only 1 came back to say thanks. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?” That one got more than healing—he got wholeness. Gratitude is the gateway to God’s presence. You can’t be anxious and thankful at the same time. One chokes faith. The other feeds it. A grateful heart isn’t naive—it’s anchored. It knows the same God who was faithful yesterday will be faithful tomorrow.
*Prayer:*
Father, forgive me for grumbling when I should be grateful. Open my eyes to see Your goodness in every season. Teach my heart to thank You before the breakthrough, not just after it. I choose gratitude today. Amen.
*Application:*
- Start a “3-a-day” list: write down 3 specific things you’re thankful for each morning
- Replace complaints: catch yourself grumbling and swap it for one thing God’s done
- Thank people: send one “just grateful for you” text today—gratitude is contagious
Gratitude turns what we have into enough. What will you thank God for right now, before anything changes?
