*Let There Be Gratitude*
*Scripture*:
_"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."_ — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
_"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name."_ — Psalm 100:4
*Reflection*
Gratitude doesn’t change your circumstances. It changes you inside them.
It’s hard to be anxious and thankful at the same time. Hard to be bitter and grateful.
Gratitude is choosing to notice God’s fingerprints when life is loud. In the bread, the breath, the person who texted you, the door that didn’t open.
The Israelites forgot manna in the morning and complained by evening. We do the same. But God keeps giving anyway.
When we practice thanksgiving, we remember who God is and who we are to Him. And that shifts everything.
*Application*
1. *Count 3*: Before your day starts, name 3 specific things you’re grateful for. Not generic. The hot tea. The safe trip. The message.
2. *Thank someone*: Gratitude grows when it’s spoken. Send a text today to thank someone who’s been a blessing to you.
3. *Reframe the hard*: Pick one tough thing right now. Ask, "God, what good or lesson can I thank You for in this?" Let Him show you.
*Prayers*
Father,
Forgive me for the times I rush past Your goodness.
Open my eyes to see You in the ordinary today.
Thank You for life, for breath, for mercy that’s new this morning.
Thank You for what You’ve done, what You’re doing, and what You will do.
Teach me to give thanks in all things, not just the easy things.
Let a grateful heart be my worship and my witness.
I praise You, because You are good.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
