*Bread of Life*
_John 6:35 — "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."_
*Reflection*
We were made with a hunger that food alone cannot satisfy.
There’s a deep ache in the soul for meaning, for purpose, for belonging, for God.
The crowds followed Jesus for bread. He fed 5,000, and the next day they came back for more. But Jesus didn’t come just to fill stomachs. He came to fill souls.
_"I am the Bread of Life,"_ He said.
Bread is daily. Bread is essential. Bread sustains life.
Without bread, we grow weak. Without Christ, our spirit does the same.
The world offers snacks — quick fixes, temporary comfort, applause. But only Jesus satisfies to the core. When we feed on Him, we stop starving for approval, control, and worth. We find that we are already loved, already chosen, already enough in Him.
*Application*
1. *Feed daily, not just on Sundays*: Don’t wait until you feel empty to come to Jesus. Take time each morning to "eat" — read Scripture, sit in His presence, let His Word nourish you.
2. *Check what you’re feeding on*: What are you consuming most? News, comparison, worry? Replace 10 minutes of scrolling with 10 minutes in the Word and see the difference.
3. *Share the Bread*: Someone around you is hungry too. Invite them to Jesus. Your testimony, your kindness, your peace — it’s all bread to a weary soul.
*Prayer*
Father,
Thank You for Jesus, the Bread of Life.
Forgive me for the times I’ve tried to satisfy my hunger with things that don’t last.
Today I come to You. Feed me.
Let Your Word be food to my spirit and strength to my body.
Keep me from spiritual starvation.
Help me to abide in Christ daily so I can walk in fullness, not in lack.
And use me to bring Your Bread to those who are hungry around me.
