Living Water

*Living Water*

_John 4:14 — "But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst."_

*Reflection*

The human heart is a thirsty place.

We try to satisfy it with achievement, approval, relationships, and comfort. And yet, by the end of the day, we feel dry again.

Jesus knew this. That’s why He met the woman at the well. She had gone looking for water to fill what was empty inside her. And Jesus offered her something deeper: _Living Water_.

Living Water isn’t something you earn. It’s Someone you receive.

It’s the Holy Spirit, poured into us by Christ. It cleanses what is dirty, refreshes what is weary, and restores what is broken.

It doesn’t come in measurements. It wells up. It flows. It never runs dry.

When we drink from Him, we stop living from emptiness and start living from overflow.

*Application*

1. *Acknowledge your thirst*: Be honest with God today. Where do you feel dry — in your soul, your hope, your strength? Bring that thirst to Him instead of hiding it.

2. *Drink daily*: Just as we drink water for our bodies, we must drink from Christ for our souls. Spend a few quiet minutes in His Word and in prayer. Let Him fill you before the world drains you.

3. *Let it overflow*: Living Water was never meant to stay in one place. Ask God, "Who needs a drink from You through me today?" A kind word, a prayer, a listening ear.

*Prayer*

Father,

I come to You thirsty.

I’ve tried to fill myself with things that don’t last, and I’m tired.

Jesus, You are the Living Water.

Wash me. Refresh me. Restore my soul.

Let Your Spirit rise up in me like a spring that never runs dry.

Teach me to come to You first each day,

and to let Your fullness flow through me to others.

I don’t want to live from empty. I want to live from You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
